Speaking God's Word
Assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be removed and be cast into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (Mark 11:23)So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you." (Luke 17:6) Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39) Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. (Psalm 103:20) I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who send Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak. (John 12:49, 50) I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. (Deuteronomy 18:18) The wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increase learning. The heart of the wise reaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips. Pleasant words are like honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. An ungodly man digs up evil, and it is on his lips like a burning fire. He winks his eye to devise perverse things; He purses his lips and brings about evil. (Proverbs 16: 21, 23, 24, 27, 30) Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 12: 34, 36, 37) If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. (James 1:26) |
