Rebellion
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance. (1 Peter 1:13,14)You younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. (1 Peter 5:5,6) Though he was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. (Hebrews 5:8) Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) Submitting to one another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:21) No grave trouble will overtake the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil. (Proverbs 12:21) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. (1 Samuel 15:23) Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may out to silence the ignorance of foolish men. (1 Peter 2:13-15) Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. (Hebrews 13:17)
